The Madhya Pradesh government announced that wheat will be purchased at ₹2,700 per quintal and that farmers will receive electricity during daytime hours. The move also includes relief on agricultural loans to reduce cultivation costs.
The announcement was made by Chief Minister Mohan during a press briefing in Bhopal. Under the new policy, the state government will procure wheat from farmers at a fixed rate of ₹2,700 per quintal, aiming to ensure better returns for growers.
In addition to the wheat procurement price, the government said it would provide relief on agricultural loans. This measure is intended to ease the financial burden on farmers and encourage timely repayment.
To further support farming activities, the administration pledged to supply electricity to agricultural fields during daytime hours. Officials said this would help reduce the cost of irrigation and other farm operations, thereby lowering overall cultivation expenses.
