Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh publicly chastised government officials for neglecting promotion procedures and failing to provide required records, highlighting long‑standing delays in staff promotions.
In a rare public admonishment, CM Mohan Yadav addressed senior officials in Madhya Pradesh, accusing them of neglecting the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) process. He said they had forgotten to conduct the DPC and were unable to produce the necessary promotion records.
The remarks come amid growing frustration among government employees who have been waiting years for promotions. Yadav warned that continued delays would undermine morale and the efficiency of the state administration.
Yadav also criticized the General Administration Department (GAD) for its role in the bottleneck, calling its performance unsatisfactory. He urged the department to expedite the pending promotion files and ensure compliance with established timelines.
The CM's comments were made during a meeting at the state secretariat in Bhopal and were reported by local media. Officials have yet to respond publicly to the CM's accusations.
