Madhya Pradesh is experiencing a surge in monsoon activity, with the weather department issuing heavy to very heavy rainfall warnings for 19 districts on Saturday. Barwani and Khandwa are under a Red Alert, anticipating up to 8 inches of rain in 24 hours.

The monsoon has intensified across Madhya Pradesh, leading the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue significant rainfall alerts for Saturday. Nineteen districts within the state are expected to receive heavy to extremely heavy downpours.

Two districts, Barwani and Khandwa, have been placed under a Red Alert, signifying the highest level of warning. These areas could witness rainfall accumulating up to 8 inches (approximately 200 mm) within a 24-hour period, potentially leading to overflowing rivers and streams.

Further warnings have been issued for other districts, indicating the widespread impact of the current weather system. Residents in the affected regions are advised to exercise caution as the heavy rainfall could cause disruptions.
