She said a representative from Ekta Kapoor’s production unit happened to notice her while she was walking on a street in Delhi. The team member approached her, expressed interest and arranged an audition for the show. The audition led to Roy being cast in "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi," marking her television debut.
