Union Minister of State Satish Chandra Dubey inspected South Eastern Coalfields Ltd's operations, digital initiatives and healthcare improvements during his Chhattisgarh visit.
Union Minister of State for Coal, Satish Chandra Dubey arrived in Chhattisgarh to assess the performance of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL). During the visit, he toured mining sites and met senior officials to evaluate production targets and safety protocols.
The minister also examined SECL's ongoing digital transformation, including the rollout of automated monitoring systems and online grievance redressal portals aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. Officials highlighted that the digital push is expected to reduce downtime and improve resource management.
In addition to the industrial review, Dubey inspected recent upgrades to healthcare facilities serving SECL employees and surrounding communities. New medical equipment and telemedicine services were showcased, underscoring the government's focus on worker welfare and rural health infrastructure.
Dubey praised the progress made and urged continued implementation of technology and health measures to boost productivity and employee well‑being. The visit is part of a broader government effort to modernise the coal sector and address regional development needs.
