Mohan Yadav Inspects Rewa Floods, Orders Food, Water for Affected Residents

Madhya Pradesh's senior minister Mohan Yadav arrived in Rewa on Thursday to review the situation after heavy rains caused widespread flooding across the district. He toured the most affected villages, noting rising water levels in low‑lying areas and damage to homes and agricultural fields.
During the inspection, Yadav met with local officials and community leaders to gauge immediate needs. He instructed the district administration to expedite the distribution of dry rations, ready‑to‑eat meals and safe drinking water to families who have been forced to evacuate.
The minister also ordered that temporary shelters be set up in schools and public halls, with medical teams on standby to address health concerns. State disaster response teams have been mobilised to clear debris and restore essential services, while the state government monitors weather forecasts for further rainfall.
Authorities have pledged to continue monitoring the flood situation and to provide additional assistance as required, urging residents to cooperate with relief crews and adhere to safety advisories.
