The main road in Phase‑7 of Mohali is reported to be in a dilapidated state, with the municipal corporation and the public health department disputing who should fund its repair.

The municipal corporation of Mohali has been criticised for the poor condition of the primary road in the city's Phase‑7 residential area. Residents have complained of potholes, uneven surfaces and waterlogging that hinder daily commutes.
The corporation, however, argues that the road falls under the jurisdiction of the public health department, which is responsible for sanitation and related infrastructure.
The public health department counters that the road is a municipal asset and that its own budget is already stretched by ongoing sanitation projects.
Both agencies have so far refrained from committing funds, leaving the repair work pending and commuters facing continued inconvenience.
Local authorities have promised a meeting to resolve the jurisdictional dispute, but no concrete timeline for repairs has been announced.
