The BJP announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead rallies across Uttar Pradesh while party chief Amit Shah will manage the ground‑level campaign strategy ahead of the state elections.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has stepped up its preparations for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, signalling a high‑profile campaign drive. Party officials confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally address a series of rallies across the state, while party president Amit Shah will supervise the on‑the‑ground organisational work.
Modi's involvement is intended to energise the party's base and project a development‑focused narrative, especially in key urban and rural constituencies. Shah, known for his election‑management expertise, will coordinate booth‑level outreach, candidate selection and voter mobilisation.
The BJP has not disclosed a detailed timetable for the rallies, but sources say the schedule will cover major cities such as Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi, as well as smaller districts where the party seeks to consolidate support. Analysts view the dual leadership approach as a bid to counter opposition alliances and maintain the party's dominance in the state.
Political observers note that Modi's presence on the campaign trail historically boosts voter enthusiasm, while Shah's strategic oversight is expected to streamline the party's grassroots machinery in what is India's most populous state.
