Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Tashkent, emphasized a common agenda with Uzbekistan spanning trade, cultural exchange, energy cooperation and defence ties.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Tashkent for a two‑day state visit, meeting Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and senior officials. The talks focused on strengthening the long‑standing partnership between India and Uzbekistan.
Modi highlighted the need to expand bilateral trade, noting opportunities in pharmaceuticals, textiles and information technology. He also underscored plans to deepen cultural exchanges, including joint festivals and academic programmes.
