The 102 Thalli Bidda Express, upgraded with modern amenities, commenced operations across Andhra Pradesh today.
India's Southern Railway has inaugurated the modernised 102 Thalli Bidda Express, a daily service that now runs between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. The train, which was previously a basic passenger service, has been upgraded with new coaches, improved seating and enhanced safety features.
Passengers can now enjoy onboard Wi‑Fi, charging points and upgraded toilets. The coaches have been fitted with LED lighting and better insulation to provide a more comfortable journey.
The launch is expected to reduce travel time by 30 minutes and improve connectivity for commuters and tourists in the eastern coastal region.
Railway officials said the upgrade is part of a broader initiative to modernise services across the network, and similar upgrades are planned for other routes in the coming months.
