Mizoram CM Urges Sustained Peace with Assam

Chief Minister Lalduhoma addressed the press on Tuesday, stressing that peace and mutual understanding between Mizoram and Assam must remain a priority for the state.
He highlighted the importance of fostering cordial relations with the neighboring state, noting that a stable border is essential for the welfare of residents in both regions.
The CM called on state and local authorities to work closely with Assam counterparts to resolve any lingering issues and to promote people‑to‑people contact.
His remarks come amid ongoing efforts to strengthen inter‑state cooperation on security, trade and cultural exchanges.
