The popular crime drama ‘Mirzapur’ has been ranked number one on IMDb’s decade‑long list of Indian streaming series, according to The Daily Star.
The crime thriller ‘Mirzapur’, produced by Amazon Prime Video, has emerged as the top‑ranked Indian streaming series on IMDb’s decade‑spanning chart. The ranking, compiled by the global film database, reflects user ratings accumulated over the past ten years for Indian‑origin series released on digital platforms.
The Daily Star reported that the series, set in the law‑less town of Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, outperformed other popular titles such as ‘Sacred Games’, ‘Scam 1992’ and ‘The Family Man’ in the aggregated score. IMDb’s methodology relies on verified user votes, making the result a strong indicator of sustained viewer appreciation.
Industry observers note that the achievement underscores the growing influence of Indian original content on global streaming services. ‘Mirzapur’ continues to attract new audiences, bolstering Amazon Prime Video’s position in the competitive Indian OTT market.
