Police in Bhilwara's Gandhinagar area have registered a case after a minor was allegedly lured with promises of an Ayurvedic diploma and a government job, then blackmailed.

The Gandhinagar police station in Bhilwara district has opened an investigation into a blackmail scheme targeting a minor. According to the complaint, the victim was approached with offers of an Ayurvedic diploma course and a guaranteed government job, which were later revealed to be false.

Investigators say the perpetrators used these promises to trap the young woman and subsequently extorted her, constituting a criminal act under the Indian Penal Code. The police have recorded the statements of the victim and are gathering further evidence to identify and apprehend those responsible.

The case has been formally registered as a criminal complaint, and the authorities have warned the public against similar deceptive recruitment practices. The investigation remains ongoing, with officials emphasizing the need for vigilance against fraudulent job and educational schemes.

Local law enforcement has urged anyone approached with similar offers to verify the legitimacy of the institutions involved and to report any suspicious activity promptly.

The incident highlights growing concerns over scams that exploit the aspirations of youth seeking education and secure employment, especially in smaller towns across Rajasthan.
