Minor abducted, allegedly assaulted; two suspects arrested in Madhya Pradesh

Police in Madhya Pradesh have arrested two men, identified as Akash (22) and Gopal (28), in connection with the kidnapping and alleged sexual assault of a minor who was shopping for her wedding.
A minor who was out buying items for her upcoming marriage was allegedly lured by her boyfriend, identified as Akash, and taken away from the market. According to police reports, the girl was held for several days during which the suspect is accused of committing repeated sexual assault.
The Madhya Pradesh police have now detained two individuals linked to the case. Akash, 22, whose father is named Banshilal, and Gopal, 28, son of Hemlal, were taken into custody after a coordinated operation.
Investigators say other accomplices may still be at large and the search for them continues. The authorities have opened a formal case under sections pertaining to kidnapping, rape of a minor, and criminal conspiracy, and are gathering forensic evidence to strengthen the prosecution.
