The state minister toured the monsoon‑damaged PMGSY road in Chujachen constituency to assess repair needs.
During a routine visit to the remote Chujachen constituency, the Minister of Rural Development inspected a section of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road that had suffered extensive damage from recent heavy rains.
The road, which links several villages to the district headquarters, was found to have collapsed in places, with large potholes and washed‑out embankments. The minister met with local officials and residents, noting the urgency of restoring connectivity for farmers and traders.
The minister directed the state’s Public Works Department to expedite repair works and requested additional funding from the central government. Work is expected to commence within the next fortnight, with a target to reopen the route by the end of the month.
