The Ministry of Home Affairs has reassigned IPS Vikramjit Singh, Abhishek Dhania and two IAS officers from the AGMUT cadre to Arunachal Pradesh.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued an order transferring four officers of the Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre to the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. The officers named in the order are IPS officer Vikramjit Singh, senior civil servant Abhishek Dhania, and two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers whose names were not disclosed.

The reassignment comes as part of the central government's effort to bolster administrative capacity in Arunachal Pradesh, a state that shares a sensitive border with China and has been a focus of development and security initiatives. Deploying experienced officers from the AGMUT cadre is intended to support governance, law‑and‑order, and implementation of central schemes in the region.

Such cadre transfers are routine and typically announced through official MHA communications. No further details on the specific roles or posting locations of the transferred officers have been released, and the ministry has not provided additional comments at this stage.
