Former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti called for renewed dialogue, urged opening of road corridors to Central Asia, and described the National Conference as the original political force in the state.

Mehbooba Mufti, the former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, addressed a gathering in Srinagar, emphasizing the need for a fresh dialogue with the central government.

She urged that sustained talks could pave the way for stability and development in the region, highlighting the importance of mutual trust and cooperation.

In addition to political engagement, Mufti called for the opening of road corridors linking Jammu & Kashmir to Central Asian countries, arguing that such connectivity would boost trade and tourism.

The former leader also praised the National Conference, calling it the "original" political party that has shaped the state's history and underscored its role in championing Kashmiri aspirations.
