Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti chaired an important meeting of the party’s Central and North Kashmir leadership to review organisational activities following the recently concluded zonal and district-level elections.
The meeting was attended by PDP General Secretary Organisation Adv Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura, General Secretaries Adv Ab Haq Khan and Mohammad Khursheed Aalam, Women’s Wing President Anjum Fazili, MLA Kupwara Mir Mohammad Fayaz, and all constituency incharges from Central and North Kashmir.
The meeting held detailed deliberations on the party’s organisational functioning, the outcome of the recently concluded internal elections, and the steps required to further strengthen the party structure at the grassroots level. The gathering also provided an opportunity to assess the functioning of party units and discuss future strategies for enhancing coordination among district, zonal and constituency-level leadership.
Ms Mehbooba Mufti stressed the importance of strengthening the party’s organisational base and ensuring greater engagement with people across Jammu and Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti emphasised the need for collective efforts, unity among party cadres, and a renewed commitment to addressing public concerns and aspirations.
The leadership discussed measures to make the party organisation more effective, vibrant and responsive, with a particular focus on strengthening coordination between senior leaders, elected representatives and grassroots workers.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to further consolidate the party’s organisational framework and intensify public outreach across Central and North Kashmir.
