Meghalaya Voters Become Donors as Regional Party Crowdfunds

In Meghalaya, voters are donating to a regional party's crowdfunding campaign, turning the electorate into financial supporters.

The initiative, launched by the party, invites citizens to contribute small amounts online, aiming to raise funds for upcoming elections.

This approach reflects a growing trend of grassroots fundraising in Indian politics, allowing parties to engage directly with voters.

While details on the amount raised remain undisclosed, the campaign signals a shift towards more participatory campaign financing.
