The Meghalaya School Association will meet on 20 October to review the National Education Policy and Right to Education norms.
The Meghalaya School Association has scheduled a meeting for 20 October to discuss the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) and the Right to Education (RTE) norms across the state’s schools.
The gathering aims to evaluate how the NEP’s reforms—introduced by the central government in 2020—can be integrated into local curricula and administrative practices, while ensuring compliance with RTE’s mandate for free and compulsory education for children aged 6 to 14.
Participants will examine resource allocation, teacher training, and infrastructural needs required to align state schools with national standards. The association plans to publish a report outlining recommendations and action points following the discussion.
