The Meghalaya state government has retracted the August 12 notification regarding recruitment for the State Police Force and confirmed that the existing deficit system will remain unchanged.
On 14 September, the Meghalaya government announced the withdrawal of the August 12 notification that had outlined recruitment for the State Police Force (SPF). The decision was made following a review of the notification’s eligibility criteria and procedural details.
The government also clarified that the deficit system, which governs the allocation of funds for various departments, will continue to operate as before. Officials stated that the withdrawal does not affect the overall budgetary framework.
The notification’s removal was communicated through a press release issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms. No alternative recruitment plan has been announced yet, and candidates who had applied under the original notice were advised to seek further guidance from the department.
