Companies based in Meghalaya have collectively pledged an investment of Rs 121 crore for the development of Shillong Tech Park‑II, according to a report by Wyrta.

Several companies operating out of Meghalaya have announced a joint commitment of Rs 121 crore to fund the next phase of Shillong Tech Park‑II. The investment is aimed at expanding the park's infrastructure to accommodate more technology and IT firms, thereby boosting the state's digital economy.

The funding will be used for constructing additional office spaces, upgrading utilities, and enhancing connectivity within the park. Officials from the Meghalaya State Industries Department said the capital infusion reflects growing confidence among local entrepreneurs in the region's tech ecosystem.

The development of Shillong Tech Park‑II is part of a broader state initiative to attract high‑value technology businesses and create skilled employment opportunities. The project is expected to be completed over the next two years, with the new facilities slated to become operational by early 2028.
