Meghalaya Deputy CM forecasts 20,000 jobs from Umroi Airport expansion

The Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya announced that the state’s ongoing project to expand Umroi Airport is projected to create roughly 20,000 employment opportunities. The expansion aims to upgrade the existing airstrip to handle larger aircraft and increase flight frequency, thereby boosting regional connectivity.
