Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has pledged strict action following recent violence in Shillong, urging authorities to take decisive measures.
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma addressed the nation on Sunday, assuring that the state will take stringent measures in response to the violence that erupted in Shillong.
He said the government will investigate the incident thoroughly and hold those responsible accountable.
The CM urged law‑enforcement agencies to act decisively and restore peace in the capital.
"We will not tolerate any disturbance that threatens the safety of our citizens," Sangma added.
The state government has already deployed additional security personnel to the affected areas.
