On 12 September 2024, Meghalaya’s Chief Minister inaugurated three mobile medical units at the state capital Shillong, marking a new effort to bring healthcare to underserved villages.
Each unit is fitted with basic diagnostic equipment, a pharmacy, and a small team of doctors and nurses who will travel on a scheduled rotation across districts.
