Chief Minister Conrad Sangma examined the progress of the State Infrastructure Revamp 2026 and urged residents to support its rollout.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma convened a review session to assess the State Infrastructure Revamp (SIR) 2026 programme. The meeting brought together senior officials from the state’s public works, finance and planning departments to gauge the pace of ongoing projects.

Sangma highlighted that several key infrastructure initiatives, including road upgrades and rural connectivity schemes, have moved forward according to the revised timetable. He also pointed out bottlenecks such as delayed land acquisition and funding gaps that need immediate attention.

Emphasising the role of the public, the chief minister appealed to citizens to cooperate with authorities, adhere to construction guidelines, and report any irregularities. He assured that the government will continue close monitoring to ensure the SIR 2026 objectives are met on schedule.

The administration plans to release a detailed progress report in the coming weeks, outlining next‑phase actions and resource allocations for the remainder of the five‑year plan.
