The Chief Minister of Meghalaya has approved a Rs 200 crore fund to modernise block‑level administrative offices across the state.
Meghalaya's Chief Minister announced a budget allocation of Rs 200 crore aimed at upgrading block offices throughout the state. The funding is intended to improve infrastructure, introduce digital facilities, and enhance service delivery at the sub‑district level. Officials said the scheme will be implemented in phases, with priority given to blocks that lack basic amenities. The upgrade is expected to streamline administrative processes and bring citizen services closer to rural populations. The state government will monitor progress through regular audits and report updates to the public.
