The Lokayukta police team from Rewa apprehended a Medical Officer, Dr. Mahesh Chandra Sharma, posted at the Ufri Primary Health Centre in Shahdol district. He was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.

A significant anti-corruption operation was conducted by the Lokayukta police team from Rewa in the Shahdol district on Friday. The operation led to the arrest of Dr. Mahesh Chandra Sharma, a Medical Officer attached to the Primary Health Centre in Ufri.

Dr. Sharma was apprehended by the Lokayukta team while he was allegedly accepting a bribe amounting to Rs 5,000. The arrest was made red-handed, indicating concrete evidence gathered by the anti-corruption unit.
