The annual Manthan 2K26 festival began today at the College of Engineering Roorkee, launching a series of technical and cultural events for students.
Manthan 2K26 officially opened its doors at the College of Engineering Roorkee (COER) today, signalling the start of a multi‑day campus festival. Organized by the institute's student community, the event brings together participants from various engineering disciplines to showcase projects, conduct workshops and hold cultural performances.
The opening ceremony featured a welcome address by the college principal, followed by a brief overview of the schedule, which includes robotics competitions, coding challenges, paper presentations and a series of artistic showcases. Faculty members and industry mentors are expected to attend as judges and speakers throughout the programme.
Students and visitors are invited to explore the exhibition stalls set up across the campus, where innovative prototypes and research findings will be displayed. Manthan 2K26 aims to foster collaboration, creativity and practical learning among the engineering cohort of COER.
The festival will run for several days, concluding with prize distribution and a closing cultural show. Organisers have emphasized safety protocols and adherence to campus guidelines as the event proceeds.
Overall, the launch of Manthan 2K26 underscores COER's commitment to experiential education and provides a platform for budding engineers to engage with contemporary technological trends.
