During the raid, authorities discovered a pistol in the possession of one of the suspects, who is a serving 1-MR Havildar in the Indian Army. The soldier’s rank and service record were noted by the police.
The police have charged the three suspects with extortion under the Indian Penal Code and are awaiting further investigation. The case is currently under the jurisdiction of the Manipur Police Crime Branch.
