Manipur: CSOs Call Statewide Bandh

The 14 civil society organizations in Manipur have been demanding the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the state. They have threatened to call a statewide bandh from August 9 midnight if their demands are not met. The bandh is expected to affect normal life in the state, including transportation and business. The organizations have been protesting against the lack of action by the state government on the NRC issue. The state government has not yet responded to the demands of the organizations.
