The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee has asked for an increase in the number of sitting days for the ongoing legislative assembly session.
The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee has formally requested that the state legislative assembly extend the number of sitting days for the current session.
Party officials submitted the demand to the assembly authorities, arguing that the existing schedule does not allow sufficient time to debate pending legislation and key issues affecting the state.
The Congress party said that additional sitting days would enable a more thorough discussion of bills and improve legislative oversight, without specifying a particular number of extra days.
