Manipur CM Calls on Meiteis to Act as 'Big Brother' to Restore Peace

The Chief Minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh, addressed the Meitei community today, urging them to act as a 'big brother' to help restore peace in the state. He said that the Meiteis, who have historically played a pivotal role in the region’s social fabric, must step forward to mediate and calm tensions. The CM highlighted that constructive engagement from the community could bridge divides and foster a stable environment. He called on Meiteis to use their influence to promote dialogue and understanding among all groups in Manipur.
