Four years after the Manapparam gold‑loan robbery, police have reopened the case and transferred three remaining suspects from an Odisha jail to Katni for interrogation.

The Manapparam gold‑loan robbery, in which thieves made off with 16 kilograms of gold, has resurfaced after a four‑year lull. Authorities say the stolen bullion remains unrecovered, prompting a fresh push to solve the case.
Police in Madhya Pradesh have now taken three accused who were serving sentences in an Odisha jail and brought them to Katni for remand. The suspects are expected to be questioned as part of an intensified investigation.
Investigators emphasized that the renewed probe aims to trace the missing gold and identify any accomplices still at large. The case, which had attracted considerable media attention earlier, is now back on the police docket with renewed urgency.
