A resident of Rajasthan was arrested after he ascended a mobile telecommunications tower in the dead of night. The incident occurred around midnight, prompting local authorities to launch a rescue operation and secure the site.
Police officials said the man voluntarily disclosed that his sole purpose for climbing the structure was to meet his girlfriend, who was reportedly waiting nearby.
The Rajasthan police have lodged a case under sections dealing with trespassing and endangering public safety. Officials warned that such unauthorized access to telecom infrastructure poses serious risks to both the individual and the network's integrity.
Investigators are also reviewing CCTV footage from the tower to confirm the sequence of events and to identify any accomplices, if any.
The case underscores growing concerns about misuse of critical infrastructure for personal reasons, prompting calls for stricter monitoring of telecom sites across the state.
