Man Offers Milk to Brahmaputra, Dumps Empty Carton – Social Media Reacts

A man was seen pouring a glass of milk into the Brahmaputra River, a gesture often associated with religious devotion. After the offering, he tossed the empty carton into the same water body.

The act quickly went viral on X, where users criticized the man for littering a sacred river. The platform’s official account posted a statement urging people to respect the environment and refrain from polluting waterways.

Offering milk to rivers is a common practice in many parts of India, believed to bring blessings and purification. However, the disposal of containers has become a growing concern for river conservation.

Environmental groups have highlighted that such incidents, even if well-intentioned, contribute to pollution and threaten aquatic life in the Brahmaputra basin.
