Man Arrested in Damoh for Raping 14-Year-Old Girl After Months of Harassment

Police in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, have arrested a 27-year-old man accused of raping a 14-year-old minor. The victim alleges the suspect had been harassing her for over a year and had previously committed robbery.
Police in the Hata police station area of Damoh district, Madhya Pradesh, have arrested Fazal Khan, 27, on charges of raping a 14-year-old minor. The incident has sparked outrage in the locality as authorities have taken the suspect into custody for further investigation.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, the accused had been harassing her for the past one and a half years. The minor alleged that this was not the first time the suspect had targeted her, claiming he had previously committed robbery against her as well.
The victim further stated that the accused had threatened to kill her to silence her. Following the registration of the First Information Report (FIR), the police launched an investigation and managed to apprehend the suspect. The case is being handled under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
