The bilingual action drama starring Mammootty and Dhanush, titled 'OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood', has been assigned a new release window in November, according to iDiva.
The much‑anticipated film "OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood", featuring Malayalam stalwart Mammootty and Tamil star Dhanush, has secured a new release slot in November. The announcement was made by the entertainment portal iDiva, which confirmed that the movie will hit theatres later this year.
The project, billed as a bilingual action drama, brings together two of South India's biggest box‑office draws. While production details remain limited, the involvement of both actors suggests a pan‑Indian appeal, with dialogues reportedly shot in Malayalam and Tamil.
No specific date within the month has been disclosed, but the November window positions the film ahead of the year‑end holiday rush, a period traditionally favorable for high‑budget releases. Distributors are expected to finalize regional rollout plans in the coming weeks.
Industry observers note that the pairing of Mammootty and Dhanush is a rare collaboration that could boost cross‑regional viewership. The film's title hints at a dark, forest‑set narrative, though plot specifics have not been revealed.
Fans of both actors are urged to stay tuned for further updates as the marketing campaign rolls out, with teasers and posters likely to follow the official release date announcement.
