The Maharashtra Police dismantled a fake currency operation in Nashik, arresting five suspects involved in the racket.

The operation was carried out by the Nashik Police's Anti-Corruption and Economic Offences wing, which had been monitoring the counterfeit network for several weeks.

According to police statements, the suspects were manufacturing and distributing counterfeit ₹200 and ₹500 notes, which were intercepted at a local market.

The seized counterfeit notes and related equipment were seized by the police, and the suspects are now in custody pending further investigation.

The police reiterated that they will continue to target counterfeit currency schemes across the state to protect the public and the economy.
