The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration has revoked the operating licence of Ayub Hotel after identifying violations of food safety regulations.

The state’s Food and Drug Administration announced that it has suspended the licence of Ayub Hotel, a dining establishment in Maharashtra, following an inspection that uncovered breaches of food safety norms.

Inspectors reported that the hotel failed to comply with mandatory hygiene standards, prompting the department to take immediate action to protect public health.

Under the suspension, the hotel must cease operations until it secures clearance from the FDA. The owners have the right to appeal the decision before the appropriate authority.

The enforcement reflects Maharashtra’s broader push to tighten food safety oversight across the hospitality sector, aiming to ensure safer dining experiences for consumers.

A spokesperson for the FDA emphasized that such measures are essential to uphold consumer confidence and prevent health hazards associated with non‑compliant establishments.
