Maharashtra Autorickshaw Drivers Fail Test

The Marathi proficiency test has been a mandatory requirement for autorickshaw drivers in Maharashtra. However, the recent results indicate that a significant number of drivers have failed to meet this requirement. The test is designed to ensure that drivers can communicate effectively with passengers and provide better services. The failure of over 7,750 drivers to pass the test raises concerns about the language skills of those operating public transportation vehicles in the state. Furthermore, 17,427 drivers are yet to complete their training, which is a prerequisite for obtaining a license to operate an autorickshaw in Maharashtra.
