Thousands of devotees thronged the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Tuesday morning for the Bhasma Aarti during Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha Navami. The deity was adorned with a Tripundra, crescent moon, and third eye before the sacred ash offering.
Ujjain witnessed a significant gathering of devotees at the world-famous Mahakaleshwar Temple on Tuesday morning. The occasion was the Bhasma Aarti performed during Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha Navami.
During the sacred ritual, Lord Mahakal was elaborately decorated. The deity was adorned with a Tripundra (three horizontal lines of ash or sandalwood paste), a crescent moon, and a third eye. Following this special adornment, the traditional offering of sacred ash was made.
The temple premises resonated with the sounds of cymbals, drums, and conch shells, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere for the assembled devotees.
