Madras HC Dismisses Corruption Case Against Karunanidhi's Security Officer

The Madras High Court on Tuesday quashed a corruption case that had been filed against the security officer of the late former Tamil Nadu chief minister Karunanidhi. The officer, who had served the CM for many years, was accused of embezzling public funds. The court found that the prosecution had not presented any concrete evidence linking the officer to the alleged wrongdoing. In its judgment, the court also noted procedural lapses in the filing of the case. As a result, the officer is cleared of all charges and the case is dismissed.
