Madhya Pradesh to start SUGAM bus service with CCTV, panic button, tracking Sept 25

Madhya Pradesh will roll out the SUGAM passenger bus service on September 25, equipping each bus with CCTV cameras, a panic button and live‑tracking technology monitored from a central command centre.
The Madhya Pradesh government announced that the SUGAM passenger transport service will be launched on 25 September. The new fleet of buses will be fitted with closed‑circuit television cameras, a panic‑button for emergencies and a live‑location system that transmits real‑time data to a dedicated command centre.
The command centre, set up by the state transport department, will monitor the movement of each bus and respond promptly to any distress signals raised by the panic button. This infrastructure aims to enhance passenger safety and improve service reliability across the state.
By integrating modern surveillance and tracking technologies, the SUGAM scheme seeks to provide a more secure and transparent public transport experience for commuters in Madhya Pradesh.
