Madhya Pradesh to Launch SUGAM Bus Service with CCTV, Panic Buttons, Live Tracking

From 25 September, Madhya Pradesh's new SUGAM Parivahan Seva will roll out buses equipped with CCTV cameras, panic buttons and live‑location tracking, all overseen from a central command centre.
The Madhya Pradesh government announced that its SUGAM Parivahan Seva will commence on 25 September, introducing a fleet of buses designed to enhance passenger safety and service reliability.
The new buses will be fitted with closed‑circuit television (CCTV) cameras, allowing real‑time video monitoring of interior and exterior activities.
Each vehicle will also carry a panic button that passengers can activate in emergencies, triggering an immediate alert to authorities.
Live‑location technology will enable the exact position of every bus to be tracked, providing commuters with up‑to‑date arrival information.
All these systems will be linked to a dedicated command centre, which will monitor the fleet continuously and coordinate responses as needed.
