On Janmashtami, Madhya Pradesh will host cultural programs at 111 venues across 55 districts, with more than 7,500 temples receiving special decorations and 1,500 artists performing at the Janapav Parshuram‑Shri Krishna Lok ceremony.
Madhya Pradesh is gearing up for an expansive Janmashtami observance this year, marking the birth of Lord Krishna with a series of coordinated activities across the state. Authorities have announced that more than 7,500 temples will be adorned with special decorations to highlight the festive mood.

At the historic Janapav hill, a dedicated ceremony titled Parshuram‑Shri Krishna Lok will feature a Bhoomi Puja, with 1,500 artists slated to perform a curated programme of rituals and artistic displays. The gathering is expected to become a focal point for pilgrims visiting the birthplace of Parshuram and the surrounding area.
