Madhya Pradesh police arrest Prayagraj man in NDPS jailbreak plot in Seoni

Madhya Pradesh police arrested Kunwar Pratap Singh, also known as Shivam Singh, from Prayagraj for allegedly planning to free an NDPS detainee in Seoni’s Chuhia valley.
Police in Madhya Pradesh uncovered a conspiracy to release a detainee charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act from a police outpost in the Chuhia valley of Seoni district. The investigation traced communications to the Jangi mobile application.
Based on the leads, officers located and apprehended Kunwar Pratap Singh, also known as Shivam Singh, who had travelled from Prayagraj. He was taken into custody in Seoni after a coordinated operation.
Authorities said the suspect was suspected of coordinating with the detainee and facilitating his escape, but the plot was foiled before any attempt could be made. The case has been handed over to the district crime branch for further inquiry.
No injuries were reported and the NDPS detainee remains in police custody.
