The monsoon has resumed across Madhya Pradesh, with a heavy rain alert issued for five districts and light to moderate showers expected in over 50 districts. So far, the state has received 10% less rainfall than normal.
The monsoon has returned to Madhya Pradesh after a brief lull, prompting the Meteorological Department to issue a heavy rain alert for five districts.
In addition to the alert zones, the department forecasts light to moderate rainfall in more than 50 districts across the state, indicating widespread but uneven precipitation.
Despite the return of the rains, the state has recorded a 10% shortfall compared to the normal monsoon totals for this period, raising concerns about water availability.
Authorities have urged residents in the alert zones to take precautions against potential flooding and road washouts, and have advised farmers to monitor irrigation needs.
