The Madhya Pradesh State Dental Council has launched an insurance scheme offering dentists a ₹3 lakh accidental cover and a ₹10 lakh professional indemnity cover.
The Madhya Pradesh State Dental Council (MPSDC) announced a new insurance scheme aimed at providing financial protection to practising dentists across the state. Under the scheme, dentists will be eligible for an accidental cover worth ₹3 lakh and a professional indemnity cover of ₹10 lakh.
The council said the initiative seeks to address the growing concerns among dental professionals about occupational risks and potential malpractice claims, offering a safety net that was previously unavailable to many practitioners.
All dentists registered with the MPSDC can enrol for the cover through the council’s office, which will handle policy issuance and related formalities. Details on premium rates and enrollment procedures will be communicated by the council in the coming days.
The launch reflects a broader effort to strengthen professional safeguards within the healthcare sector, encouraging dentists to adopt the coverage as a standard part of their practice.
