Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Visits Flood‑Hit Rewa, Orders Faster Relief and Disease Prevention

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav travelled from Delhi to Rewa on Sunday to assess the impact of recent heavy rains that have caused widespread flooding in the district. During his visit, he inspected several inundated villages and met with local administrators and relief teams.
He instructed district officials to accelerate the distribution of food, shelter and medical supplies to affected families, emphasizing that any delay could exacerbate hardship. The CM also warned that stagnant water could trigger outbreaks of water‑borne diseases and ordered health workers to conduct preventive measures and awareness campaigns.
In addition, Yadav asked agricultural officers to carry out an immediate survey of crop losses so that appropriate compensation and support can be provided to farmers. The chief minister pledged that the state government will allocate additional funds to speed up reconstruction of damaged infrastructure.
The visit underscores the state’s commitment to a coordinated response as monsoon rains continue across central India.
